Miss Alice Nielsen, of the Boston Opera Company, will give a benefit concert under the auspices of the Harvard Edda Club, at Jordan Hall, next Tuesday, at 8 o'clock. Miss Nielsen will be assisted by the Pierian Sodality, the Swedish Harmoni Club of Boston, and by Mr. Henry Eichhelm, violinist of the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
The proceeds of this concert will be devoted toward the foundation of a scholarship fund of $5,000 which the Edda Club is raising. The scholarship will pay the expenses of any Scandinavian student in Harvard who will devote his time teaching English at the Prospect Union, to classes of Swedish and Norwegian pupils.
Tickets at $1.50, $1, 75 cents, and 50 cents are on sale at Jordan Hall, Steinert & Sons, 162 Boylston street, Boston, and at the Co-operative.
