The third annual University chess tournament will begin today. Entries may be made on the blanks provided for the purpose at the rooms of the University Chess Club in Grays 19. The competition is open to all men who have played on the University team or are approved by the executive committee of the club. No entrance fee is charged. The winner will receive a silver cup and will have his name inscribed upon the Trophy Table.
Entries for the fourth annual novice chess tournament, to be held March 6, close on Saturday. The entrance fee is 25 cents and the tournament is open to all members of the University who have not played on the University team or won a previous novice tournament. Entries may be made in blue-books provided for the purpose at the Union and in Grays 19.
