Cornell won the intercollegiate hockey championship, defeating Dartmouth at the Boston Arena Saturday, by the score of 5 to 1. Although Dartmouth played her best game of the season, she was at no time a match for her opponent. During the first few minutes, play was very even, but Dartmouth suffered from McCarthy's weakness at goal. The game was rough and full of hard body-checking throughout.
The summary: Score--Cornell, 5; Dartmouth, 1. Goals--Magner 2, Vincent 2, Crassweller, Stucklen. Referee--Sennerton. Umpires--Clancy, Van Buskirk. Timekeepers--Hallahan, Merrill. Time--Twenty-minute halves.
