PASTEUR DEBATE TONIGHT

FINAL CONTEST WILL BE HELD IN FOGG ART MUSEUM AT 8 O'CLOCK. NINE MEN TO COMPETE.

The final contest for the Pasteur Debating Medal will be held in the Lecture Room of the Fogg Art Museum this evening at 8 o'clock. It will be open to the public.

The following nine men will speak in the order named; I. Witkin '14, S. Z. Kaplan '14, F. F. Greenman '14, I. Levin '14, J. A. Donovan '13, H. H. Breland '12, S. M. Seymour '13, S. S. Smolev '15, A. A. Berle, Jr., '13. Each contestant will speak for ten minutes on the following subject: "Resolved, That a Strike by Postal or Railroad Workers in the Service of the French Republic Should be Deemed a Criminal Offense." The judges will be L. J. A. Mercier, of the French Department; Professor I. L. Winter '86, of the Public Speaking Department; and R. M. Hull '04 of the Department of Government. Dr. A. N. Holcombe '06, of the Department of Government, will preside.

The Pasteur Medal was founded in 1898 by Baron de Coubertin, to be awarded to the successful contestant in an annual debate on a subject chosen from contemporary French politics, the debate to be conducted in English.
