The University association football team won the third regular game of its schedule on Soldiers Field Saturday afternoon, by defeating New Bedford Y. M. C. A., 4-2.

The University team showed better form than in any of the previous games this season. The forwards especially showed great improvement in team-work and in aggressiveness, while the backs were more accurate in their kicking. In the first half, New Bedford started with a rush and scored two goals in succession. Here, however, the University team braced, and succeeded in trying the score, both goals being made by Byng. In the second half, the University team continued to force New Bedford on the defensive, and Murdoch and Needham scored.
