After a long blackboard talk by Coach Haughton, the University football squad was given an hour's practice in the baseball cage yesterday afternoon. The first team spent most of the hour trying out new formations and plays of an open nature, and then lined up against the second team for a short dummy scrimmage. The first team also held a ten minute signal practice in the Stadium.

Work of Freshman Squad.

Rain interfered with the hard practice scheduled for the Freshman squad yesterday. A long blackboard talk was given by Coach Dewey, in which he out lined new plays and formations. Then the squad went out under the Stadium and ran through signals for an hour and a half. A run around the field completed the afternoon's work.
