There will be a dinner for the reception of the newly elected members into the Phi Beta kappa Society in the Union tomorrow evening at 6.45 o'clock. President Lowell and President Eliot will preside, the latter until 8.30 o'clock and the former after that time.
The dinner will to a certain extent take the place of the usual award of distinctions, which was not held this year. Invitations have been sent to about 1,000 graduates, and it is expected that there will be a large attendance.
In addition to President Lowell, the following men will speak: Hon. D. A. Ellis '94, J. W. Farley '99, Professor C. H. Grandgent '83, W. C. Greene '11, second marshal of the society, and Samuel Williston '82.
