HOCKEY WITH SPRINGFIELD

University Team Will Play Third Game of Schedule in Arena at 8.15

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The University hockey team will play the third game of its schedule against the Springfield Training School in the Boston Arena this evening at 8.15 o'clock. Tickets at 50 cents, 75 cents, and $1 each may be obtained at the door.

The Springfield team has played only one game this season, in which it was defeated by the Massachusetts Agricultural College by the score of 5 to 3. The team was handicapped by lack of practice, however, and since then has improved considerably. It is considered to be one of the fastest teams that has ever represented the school.

The line-ups:

Practice Scrimmage Yesterday.

At the practice in the Arena yesterday afternoon the University hockey team was given a hard scrimmage. At first a long preliminary practice was held in which the forwards were sent against the goal in pairs, and later in threes and fours against the entire defence. Then the teams were so arranged that the first team forwards played against the first team defence for a 10-minute scrimmage. The team-work was poor and there was no scoring.

Additions to Training Table.

The following five men have been added to the training table for the University hockey team and will report for lunch at the Varsity Club at 1 o'clock: J. S. Childs '12, H. B. Gardner '13, P. K. Houston '12, E. P. Pierce '12, J. R. Pratt '12. HARVARD.  SPRINGFIELD.
