Yale Defeated Princeton in Hockey

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The Yale hockey team defeated Princeton Saturday evening at the St. Nicholas Rink, New York City, by the score of 1 to 0. The game was roughly contested and as the score indicates, neither team had any decisive advantage. The heavier Yale forwards broke up Princeton's team-play and during the first half the play was very even. Princeton's forwards made the greater number of shots but Carhart, Yale's goal, stopped every attempt. Towards the end of the period, while Blair. Princeton's point, was off the ice, Cox scored from a scrimmage for the only goal of the evening. In the second period the Yale defence was able to keep Princeton outside the danger zone and, although Kay, who played rover for Princeton, shot again and again, no score was made.
