The University fencing team defeated the Springfield Training School team in the Hemenway Gymnasium Saturday afternoon, by the score of eight bouts to one. None of the bouts were closely contested. E. H. Huleck, of Springfield, defeated W. Hunt '11 in the third round. The judges, were A. P. Cushing '78, G. L. Cutting 2L., and W. Kirkpatrick, all of the Fenway Fencing Club.
The University was represented by the following men: W. Hunt '11, J. A. MacLaughlin '11, J. M. Moore '11, G. B. Wilbur '12.
