The Intercollegiate Fencing Association voted at its annual meeting to hold the preliminaries for the intercollegiate championship tournament on March 25, and the tournament itself on March 31 and April 1.

The league was again divided into two geographical sections. The northern division, consisting of Harvard, Yale, Cornell, and West Point, will hold its preliminary bouts at West Point, while those of the southern division, which is made up of Princeton, Columbia, Pennsylvania, and Annapolis, will be held at Annapolis. One team will be eliminated at each of the two preliminaries, and the remaining six teams will compete in the finals, which will be held in New York on the evening of March 31 and the afternoon and evening of April 1.

The finals will be in the form of a round robin. Each man on the winning team will receive a medal and the man winning the greatest number of bouts will receive a championship gold medal in addition.
