Yale Crew Quarters, Gales Ferry, Conn., June 16, 1910.--A big shake-up was made in the freshman eight this morning when Philbin took Scraggs's seat at 6, Reed being displaced by Brundren at 4, while Adams went in at 3 in place of Bromeisler. Both the university and freshman eights went a mile and one-half up-stream and back.
In a brush between the three fours, the university four won by a length over the freshman four, with the second university four third. In the afternoon the two eights and three fours rowed down-stream past the two-mile flag and back in short, light stretches. Tucker is still out of his regular seat at 2 in the university crew and Walker has not yet returned to 6 in the freshman boat.
The orders: University eight--Stroke, Wallis; 7, Wodell; 6, Buckingham; 5, Van Sinderen; 4, Campbell; 3, Baker; 2, Colburn; bow, Frost; cox., Fearing. Freshman eight--Stroke, Appleton; 7, Camp; 6, Philbin; 5, Oldenborg; 4, Brundren; 3, Adams; 2, Howe; bow, Davisson; cox., Badger
