Official Crimson Color Adopted

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Owing to the great variety of the shades which have hitherto been used on flags and sweaters as the College color, the Corporation has decided that a single official crimson is necessary, and has authorized it for all Faculty purposes. It is of the color of material blood, being more purple and much richer than the shade now in use, which beside it looks brown and dull by contrast.

As soon as enough handkerchiefs of the exact color have been dyed they will be distributed to the various shops and athletic stores and displayed there. Thereafter all material used in flags, sweaters, or other athletic insignia must conform as nearly as possible to the new official crimson.
