Worcester High Defeated Newell Crew

On Saturday, May 28, the Worcester High School crew defeated the Newell Boat Club eight by a little under a length over the mile and one-half course on Lake Quinsigamond. The time of 8 minutes and 14 seconds was fast and the race very close and exciting. Worcester took the lead at the start and rowed over 40 for the whole distance, Newell rowing from 35 to 36. At the finish Newell was gaining rapidly.
