MR. GREENE'S RESIGNATION.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

For nearly ten years Mr. J. D. Greene has held important positions in the administrative departments of the University. His work has required a great deal of tact and patience and knowledge of the most varied sort. We feel that we express the feeling of the University in saying that he has done his work in a most thoroughly efficient manner.

In his new work there opens a great opportunity for usefulness. The institutions of which the Rockefeller Institute and Hospital are typical seem likely to take the places of the universities in scientific research and investigation. In medicine they are fast becoming the most important agencies for the working out of the problems of the day. To take a large part in the direction of such work is an honor and an opportunity.
