In the first round of the interclass tennis tournament, played yesterday afternoon on Jarvis Feld, the Freshmen defeated the Sophomores, winning five out of the first seven matches played, thus making it unnecessary to play off the remaining two. The Senior and Junior tournament was delayed and when play was stopped on account of darkness the Seniors had won four matches to the Juniors two.
Owing to the University singles championship being played off today, the remaining matches of the interclass tennis tournament will be postponed until Monday of next week.

Singles Championship at 3.
The University tennis singles championship will take place this afternoon on Jarvis Field at 3 o'clock. The match was held up on account of darkness Tuesday afternoon when E. T. Dana 1G. and A. Sweetser '11 were tied at two sets apiece.
