The Caroll Cup race for single sculls was started yesterday but owing not only to the roughness of the water but also to the fact that several competitors had mistaken the starting-place, the race was postponed again. On account of the large number of entries, it has been decided to hold two preliminary races, the winners to row in a final heat on Tuesday. This morning at 11.30 o'clock all competitors who can do so should leave their respective boathouses and be at the starting line opposite the B. A. A. boathouse at 12 o'clock. The first two boats in this heat will race the first two boats in another race to be rowed Monday afternoon.
