The second University crew will leave Thursday on the Federal Express for Philadelphia where it will take part in the American Henley Regatta on Saturday. The crew has been entered in two of the races, the Stewart Challenge Cup and the Puritan Challenge Cup, over the Henley course of one mile and 550 yards on the Schuylkill river. It is probable that the crew will row a practice race of one mile in the Basin today against the Technology and the Union Boat Club crews. The eight so far has shown exceptional speed for the Henley distance and should do well in Philadelphia. The crew is made up as follows: stroke, Forster; 7, Metcalf; 6, Strong; 5, Hooper; 4, Smith; 3, Loring; 2, Waite; bow, Wiggins; cox., Voorhees.
Although work for the graded crews from the Weld and Newell boathouses which will race against each other preliminary to the Cornell race on Monday, May 30, started yesterday, not many men reported, and the crews have as yet not been definitely made up.
