Race for Wherries Arranged

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

A race for men who row only in wherries has been arranged by the University crew management for Tuesday, May 24. This is the first time that a race of this sort has ever been held in the University. Although the Carroll Cup, which has been open only to men rowing in singles, has been competed for during more than ten years, nothing has ever been done to raise the interest of beginners in rowing.

No man who usually rows in a single or who has competed for the Carroll Cup will be allowed to enter. The race will be held on the regular mile course in the Basin, beginning near the Cottage Farm Bridge, and finishing near the Union Boat Club.
