Proposed Weld-Newell Race May 30

Crews representing the Newell and Weld Boat Clubs will be formed if by the middle of May each class has two crews on the river. The Newell and Weld eights will race over the course in the Basin on May 30, the day of the Harvard-Cornell race. Only members of the first and second class crews will be eligible for this race. The men of the Newell and Weld boats will receive their club letters. From these boats one or two four-oars will be formed to race the University fours in order to pick the four and substitutes to go to New London.
