First Outdoor Track Work Yesterday

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Track practice for the University and Freshman teams was held on the Stadium track yesterday afternoon for the first time this season, under the supervision of Coaches Donovan and Quinn. The track was still soft but every effort is being made to bring it into proper shape. The jumping pits were in excellent condition and are now ready for constant use.

All candidates held light practice in order to become accustomed to the new work. The sprinters took short runs on the straightaway and the distance men jogged four easy laps. All candidates will hereafter report for practice daily and systematic work will begin at once. Coaches Donovan and Quinn will be at the field between 10 and 12.30 and between 2 and 5 o`clock each day for the present.
