By Governing Board Last Evening.--Elections to be Held April 7.

The Governing Board of the Union has made the following provisional list of nominations for officers and committeemen of the Union for the next academic year. The election will take place on Thursday, April 2.

President--Major Henry Lee Higginson '55.

Vice-president--A. G. Cable '09, L. K. Lunt '09.

Secretary--E. P. Currier '09, W. G. Wendell '09.

Governing Board--Graduate schools, two to be elected--A. C. Blagden 2L. (3L.), G. A. Leland 1M. (2M.), J. D. White 1L. (2L.), J. Richardson, Jr., '08 (1L.) The bracketed classes indicate in what department the men will be next year. Undergraduates, four to be elected--H. B. Barton '09, F. M. Blagden '09, F. H. Burr '09, R. M. Middlemass '09, W. M. Rand '09, E. C. Bacon '10, R. C. Brown '10, R. Emerson '10, L. C. Seaverns '10, E. Harding '11.

Extracts from Constitution.

Article VI of the constitution of the Union, which governs nominations and elections, is as follows:

Section 1. The annual election for President, Vice-President, Secretary, and the Standing Committees shall be held on the first Thursday in April.

Section 2. The Governing Board shall nominate two or more candidates for each office and each place on the committees to be elected at the annual election.

Section 3. Nominations shall be made and posted two weeks before the date of the election; but a belated nomination, if supported by the signatures of fifty active members, who are students of Harvard University, may be inserted in the list up to within three days of election day.

Section 7. All active and life members shall have the right to vote.
