Mr. George Riddle '74 will give a reading in New Lecture Hall this evening at 8 o'clock under the auspices of the Speakers' Club. The reading will be from the following works: "The Ballad of East and West," by Kipling; "A Modern Sermon," anonymous; "Mrs. Malaprop," from "The Rivals," by Sheridan; "Mark Antony and the Roman Citizens," from "Julius Caesar," by Shakspere; "A Piece of Red Calico," by Stockton; "The Sleeping Car," by Howells.
Mr. Riddle is an actor and public reader of national reputation. In 1881 he gave a notable performance of Edipus at Harvard and a few years ago he coached the students for the Greek play in the Stadium.
This reading will be open to students of the University and of Radcliffe, and to officers of the University and their families.
