Harvard Won Wrestling Meet

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Harvard won the wrestling meet from the Swedish Gymnasium of Boston by three bouts to two in the Hemenway Gymnasium last evening. The best match of the evening was between R. I. Case '11 and Carl Carlson in the 135-pound class. Case had previously defeated Carlson on points, and two weeks ago, Carlson defeated the lightweight champion of New England. Case was clearly the quicker and held the offensive during the first round. After two minutes of wrestling in the second round, Case threw Carlson onto the mat, completely winding him; and then, after a rest, out-wrestled him.

The summary:

115-pound class.--Erikson (S. G.) defeated T. T. Mora-Rodriguez '12, 1 fall in 5 min.

Lightweight class.--R. I. Case '11 defeated C. Carlson (S. G.) on points.

145-pound class.--Nelson (S. G.) defeated T. R. Holbert 1L., by 1 fall in 3 1-2 min.

Total.--Harvard, 3; Swedish Gymnasium, 2.
