History 24b, given by Professor E. C. Moore and dealing with the spread of Christianity and the growth of the Christianity Church in the 19th century, will be open, not only to those who have taken 24a, but to all who are interested in missions and missions study. History 24b is a half-course, meeting Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 11 during the second half-year. The first part of the course deals with Europe since, 1815, the later part with the opening up of the East. It deals directly with missions as the spiritual aspect of the contact of the West with the East. The organization of missions at home, the progress of missions abroad will be discussed in detail.
