We congratulate the relay teams and their coaches upon the excellent work at the Boston Athletic Association meet. It is indeed pleasant to have broken the long chain of defeats which we have received in the relay races with Yale; but to put two winning teams on the track besides breaking a Yale record of five years' standing, not to mention the work of the victorious Freshmen, is not only gratifying, but shows that a lively and intelligent interest is being taken in the work of the track team.
Such success is attained only by the diligence of the coaches and the devotion of the men in their somewhat irksome training. The intercollegiate meet this year is to be a close contest in which the University has a chance of success, and by such persistent work only will victory be possible. Saturday's performances augur well for a successful season.
