Under the auspices of the department of Germanic Languages and Literatures, Dr. Guenther Jacoby, Privatdozent at the University of Greifswald, and Research Fellow in Philosophy at Harvard University, is giving a course of six public lectures, in German, on the subject of Herder's influence upon Goethe's "Faust." The lectures deal largely with new material and present a new view of Herder's relation to the "Faust" problem. The lecture today will be given in Emerson J at 4.30 o'clock, and will be on the special topic "Faust and Mefisto."
