Mr. John Noble '50, a member of the Board of Overseers and for many years clerk of the Massachusetts supreme judicial court, died at his home in Roxbury yesterday. He was born in Dover, N. H. April 14, 1829, and was graduated from the University with the class of 1850 and from the Law School in 1858. He taught for several years in Boston Latin School before studying law. After graduation he practiced law in Boston until 1875 when he was appointed clerk of the judicial court. He has been an Overseer of the College since 1898.
