The University association football team was defeated in its final game of the fall season by the Thornton Corinthians, at Thornton, R. I., on Saturday afternoon. The score, 3 to 2, indicates the evenness of the teams. At the start, the Corinthians took the University team by surprise, and scored all their goals within a few minutes. In the second half, however, the University forwards displayed by far the best team-work they have shown this fall, and kept the ball in their opponents' territory. The roughness of the field prevented accurate shooting. Seamans and Barron excelled individually.
