Freshmen Lost First Practice Game

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

In the first practice game of the year, the Freshman hockey team was defeated by the Crescent Hockey Club in the Boston Arena yesterday afternoon by the score of 4 to 3. As it was the first time the Freshmen had played in the Arena the team-work was very weak and the passing was inaccurate. The individual playing, however, was good. Sortwell, who scored two goals, Hopkins and Willetts made the best showing for the Freshmen. Fritz excelled for the Crescents.

The teams lined up as follows: FRESHMEN.  CRESCENTS. Hopkins, Stevenson, l.e.  r.e., Thurber Sortwell, l.c.  r.c., Talford Devereux, Wingate, r.c.  l.c., Fritz Woods, Devereux, r.e.  l.e., Davenport Williams, c.p.  c.p., Rocque Willetts, p,  p., Whittemore Converse, Carnochan, g.  g., Smith
