Yale Completely Outclassed

The Brown football team defeated Yale Saturday by the score of 21 to 0. This is the first time since 1901 that a team has scored 20 points on Yale. Only once was the Brown goal-line in danger, after Yale by a series of forward passes had succeeded in rushing the ball to its opponents' 30-yard line. Here, however, an incompleted forward pass gave the ball to Brown.

In the first period, Smith, for Brown, made an unsuccessful attempt at a placement goal from the 30-yard line. Sprackling failed in one attempt at a field-goal, but was successful in a second, though it was not allowed because of illegal use of hands in the Brown line.

In the second period, Brown scored on a field-goal by Sprackling. The first touchdown came after Daly had punted from behind the Yale goal-line to his 20-yard line. From this point, Young carried the ball over within a few plays and Smith kicked the goal. Sprackling kicked his third goal from the field, from the 20-yard line, in this period.

Brown's last touchdown came in the last period, when Sprackling made a forward pass to McKay, who shook himself free from three Yale tacklers and ran 40 yards for the score. Smith again kicked the goal.
