The University association football team was defeated by Springfield Training School on Soldiers Field Saturday afternoon by the score of 2 to 0. The Harvard team was not as fast as its opponents, and the forwards showed weakness in leaving their men uncovered. During the first period neither side was able to score, but the University team was kept on the defensive most of the time. In the second half Harvard's defence weakened, and the forwards failed to come to its support.
