Two prizes, to be known as the Susan Anthony Potter Prizes in Comparative Literature, are offered this year. One, of the value of $100, is to be given for the best thesis by an undergraduate or graduate student in the University or in Radcliffe, on any subject in the field of Comparative Literature approved by the chairman of the department. The other, of the value of $50, is to be given for the best essay of an undergraduate in the University on a subject in the field of Comparative Literature concerning the Middle Ages or the Renaie- sance. Candidates for these prizes should submit their theses to Professor Kittredge, chairman of the department of Comparative Literature, on or before May 15, 1911
