Yale Ticket Speculators Caught

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

There appeared in the Boston newspapers for several days prior to the Yale game an advertisement of the sale of six tickets together for the Harvard-Yale game at $300.

This was noted by many Harvard graduates. The management made a thorough investigation. An appointment was made with the man who held them at New Haven, and the six tickets were replevined there at the original price.

The tickets were originally assigned to three graduates of the Dental School of the class of 1897. These men were put on the blacklist, and will never again be allowed to receive tickets from the Athletic Association.

A thorough investigation is being made of a number of other cases which have been reported. More than ten men have already been blacklisted.

Reports came in that speculators in front of Wright & Ditson's had great bunches of tickets. An investigation of that fact was made, and a man who knew one of the speculators was allowed to look at the big bunch of tickets in his hand. There were two or three Yale tickets on each side of the bunch and the rest were Cornell game tickets.
