Cutler Won Single Soull Race

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Captain R. W. Cutler '11, of the University crew, won the race for single sculls held yesterday afternoon for the cup offered by Mr. R. F. Herrick '90. The course, which was three quarters of a mile long, was over the stretch above the Stillman Infirmary.

At the start, all the contestants got away well together with Parker slightly in the lead. At the end of the first quarter-mile, Parker cut across Hooper's bow, causing the latter to collide with Strong, and forcing Wiggins against the bank. Soon Cutler who steered the straightest course began to draw ahead, followed by Peabody. Just before the finish, Parker passed Peabody and finished about two lengths behind Cutler. No time was taken.
