In the first inning, Blair reached first on a fielder's choice, stole second, and came home when Kennedy reached first on an error. Two more runs were scored in the fourth inning. Blackall got a base on balls, stole second, and scored on Young's hit to left field. Young then went to second on a fielder's choice, scoring later on Twitchell's error. In the next inning, Blair was passed, Kennedy singled and Babson brought Blair home on another single. Lowrey, in the eighth inning, reached third through a combination of errors, scoring later on Blair's hit.
