The wise and generous action on the part of the athletic authorities in abolishing subscriptions for Freshman teams was taken at the sacrifice of over $2,000 of income. This money was collected by canvassing from door to door, and the evils of this system were so general and apparent that their removal is a great relief to all undergraduates.
In return for this concession, the student body is under moral obligation to assist the Athletic Association in an attempt next Saturday to recoup itself for the loss entailed in doing away with subscriptions. The game between the Harvard and Princeton Freshmen is second in importance for the 1914 team only to that with Yale. It is clearly the duty of all Freshmen and as many others as can to support the team and the Athletic Association by attending.
