Baldwin Prize for 1910-11

The National Municipal League offers a prize of $100, known as the William H. Baldwin prize, for the best essay on a subject connected with municipal government. This year the subject chosen is "The Administration of the Police Department in some city in the United States, with a population of over 200,000."

The essay must be typewritten and cannot exceed 10,000 words. It should be mailed to Clinton Rogers Woodruff, Secretary of the National Municipal League, North American Building, Philadelphia, Pa., and marked "For the William H. Baldwin Prize." All essays should be sent in before March 15, 1911. They should be submitted under an assumed name. The full name, address, class, and college, corresponding to the assumed name must be enclosed in a sealed envelope.

The National Municipal League has offered this prize for the past five years. Since 1907 it has been won by a Harvard man. Men desiring to learn more concerning the terms of the prize should consult. Professor W. B. Munro, Dana 21.
