Tennis Tournament Results

The result of the matches played yesterday in the fall singles tournament for the University championship in tennis were as follows:

Third round,--C. S. Cutting '12 defeated E. T. Dana 2G., 9-11, 7-5, 6-4; A. Sweetser '11 defeated E. R. Hastings Jr., '14, 6-4, 6-2.

Fourth round,--A. Sweetser '11 defeated G. B. Kayser '14, 7-5, 7-5; W. B. Fraser-Campbell '11 defeated E. P. Pearson L., 8-6, 6-4; E. H. Whitney '14 defeated H. L. Clark, Asst., 6-1, 6-1.

The following matches in doubles were played:

First round,--A. Sweetser '11 and W. B. Fraser-Campbell '11 defeated R. C. Foster '11 and C. S. Williams, Jr., '13, 6-1, 6-1; F. A. Pearson '11 and C. S. Cutting '12 defeated E. Brewer '14 and H. Place '14, 9-7, 6-4.

Second round,--M. Griswold 3L. and R. MacVeagh 2L. defeated C. P. Aiken '11 and F. R. Mead '12, 6-2, 6-2; E. H. Whitney '14 and E. H. Woods '14 defeated F. P. Abbot '11 and R. H. Kettell '14, 6-1, 6-1; C. M. Underwood G. and J. M. Baker '12 defeated S. McBee 3L. and C. R. Branch 3L., 6-4, 6-3; S. Minot '13 and G. Sturgis '13 defeated W. P. Fuller '111 and J. F. Day 2L., 6-2, 6-4; J. R. McLane 2L. and E. P. Pearson 2L. defeated L. I. Grinnell '12 and M. Hyde '12, 6-8, 7-5, 6-0.
