The training table for the University cross-country squad will be started at the Varsity Club with lunch today. The following nine men will be taken on the table: G. Boyd '12, F. D. Everett '11, R. C. Floyd '10, H. Jaques, Jr., '11, W. H. Lacey '12, H. P. Lawless '13, S. Nichols '13, E. L. Viets '11, P. R. Withington '12. Other men will be added as the season progresses.
The following men will report for further trial at 5 o'clock: C. W. Burrage '13, F. P. Byerly '11, H. L. Groves '12, G. R. Harding '11, P. C. Heald '11, P. Newton '11, W. P. Rogers '11, R. H. Rowse '12, W. F. Ryan '11.
Cross-Country Schedule Announced.
The following schedule for the cross-country team has been approved by the Athletic Committee:
Saturday, October 29.--Massachusetts Institute of Technology at Chestnut Hill.
Friday, November 4.--Yale at Chestnut Hill.
Saturday, November 12.--Intercollegiates at Princeton.
The first two runs will be held in the afternoon over the Chestnut Hill course, which is a distance of six and a quarter miles. The intercollegiates at Princeton will be run in the morning to prevent conflict with the Yale-Princeton football game. The course will be six miles long. The following nine colleges will compete in the intercollegiate run: Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Cornell, University of Pennsylvania, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Columbia, Syracuse, and Michigan.
