The first of five handicap pole-vault competitions to be held during the fall will take place at the new jumping pits behind the Stadium this afternoon at 4 o'clock. The competition is open to all members of the University. Entries may be made on the field at any time during the event. Two cups, one for Freshmen and one for University competitors, are offered for the highest number of points gained during the fall. Freshmen will vault with University men, but separate scores of each will be kept. Dates of the four remaining competitions have not yet been fixed.
