PRESIDENT LOWELL'S RECEPTION.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

It is with great pleasure that the CRIMSON announces the first of President Lowell's Sunday afternoon receptions. These entertainments, inaugurated last year, from one of the most important stepping stones toward a new and vastly improved relation between the Faculty and undergraduates, President Lowell is setting an example which, if followed, will change the instructor in the minds of his classes from a mere platform figure at lectures to an interested and sympathetic friend.

No small sacrifice is made by President and Mrs. Lowell in being at home each Sunday, and the appreciation of the undergraduate body should be definitively shown by as large an attendance as possible. Those who are present avail themselves of a rare opportunity in meeting socially the President of the University.
