Lectures in French by M. Boutroux

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The annual series of lectures under the auspices of the Cercle Francais will be given this year by M. Emile Boutroux, of the institut de France. The course will consist of four public lectures in French, to be given in the New Lecture Hall at 4 o'clock on the afternoon of the following days: March 8--"Pascal": March 10--"Auguste Comte"; March 17--"L'essence de la Religion"; March 22--"Le Mouvement philosophique contemporain en France."

These lectures will be open to the public, but reserved seats may be obtained by applying to H. B. H. Ripley, Claverly 1, before March 1.

In addition to the public lectures, M. Boutroux will also give a series of eight lectures on "Contingence et Liberte." As these lectures will be of interest to students taking courses in philosophy, especially those who are taking Philosophy 4, they will be given immediately after the regular meetings of that course, at 4.30 o'clock, in Emerson D, on March 7, 9, 11, 14, 16, 18, 21, and 23. They will be open only to members of the University.
