Mr. Copeland will give a lecture and a reading on "Dr. Johnson and his Friendships" in the Dining Room of the Union this evening at 9 o'clock. The subject is the same as that on which he lectured in Huntington Hall under the auspices of the Lowell Institute on December 8 in commemoration of the two-hundredth anniversary of the birth of Dr. Samuel Johnson. This reading will be open to members of the Union only, and everybody is requested to come ahead of time as the doors will be closed at one minute before 9 o'clock.

This is the second reading of a series to be given by Mr. Copeland in the Union during the winter months. The dates of the others are January 26, February 16, and March 2.
