Yale Plays Cornell in Baseball

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Yale will play its second baseball game with Cornell at New Haven this afternoon. In the first game played early in the season Yale won by the score of 4 to 3 in eleven innings.

The Cornell team has had a fairly successful season so far. It has defeated Georgetown, 6 to 3, and Brown, 5 to 0, and has won a majority of the other games. It was defeated by the University team in the first game by the score of 5 to 2; but it won the second game by the score of 2 to 1. The Yale team has been in an unsettled condition, and frequent shifts have been made. As a result the batting has improved considerably in the last few games. Yale defeated Princeton in the first game, 6 to 0; but in the second game Princeton won in a tenth inning rally, by the score of 3 to 2.
