The first trials for the University golf team resulted as follows: W. W. Bodine '10 defeated R. Hornblower '11, 4 up and 3 to play; N. Harrower '09 defeated R. T. Lee 09, 6 up and 5 to play; S. W. Sargent '11 defeated A. M. Crosby '11, 3 up and 1 to play; M. MacArthur '10 defeated A. W. Fletcher '10, 4 up and 3 to play; F. A. Reece '09 defeated C. L. Nichols '10, 1 up on 19 holes.

The following matches have been arranged for today: H. C. Clark '11 vs. C. H. Burton '09, W. C. Bowers '10 vs. R. Hornblower '11, N. Harrower '09 vs. M. MacArthur '10, R. T. Lee '09 vs. W. W.
