1912 Baseball with Cornell 1912

The Freshman baseball team will play the Cornell freshmen on the University diamond on Soldiers Field this afternoon at 1.30 o'clock.

As the intercollegiate meet will be going on at the same time there will be no reserved seats, but the general admission to Soldiers Field, at 50 cents, or regular reserved seat tickets, will admit to the Freshman game.

The Freshman line-up will be practically the same as that in the first game with the Yale freshmen last Tuesday at New Haven, when Yale was defeated 6 to 4. The Cornell team has played very erratic ball throughout the season, due in part to the fact that its opponents have been extremely weak. In the last four games the Cornell freshmen have beaten the Pennsylvania freshmen 10 to 9, Cascadilla School 17 to 1, Ithaca High School 22 to 5, and Stiles School 13 to 1. Their fielding is much stronger than their batting, and the team is exceptionally fast on the bases.

The line-up: HARVARD 1912.  CORNELL 1912. Wigglesworth, c.f.  c., Fritz Conant, r.f.  s.s., Gordon Kennedy, 1b.  1b., Raymond Potter, 2b.  3b., Isett Winston, s.s.  2b., Moore Kelley, l.f.  l.f., Ward Desha, 3b.  r.f., Gass Reeves, c.  c.f., Abbott Ernst, p.  p., Foster, Hyatt
