The University second baseball team defeated the Holy Cross second team on Soldiers Field yesterday afternoon by the score of 8 to 7.  The University team played good ball throughout, making 10 clean hits to their opponents' 4.  Holy Cross second had a good string of pitchers but their fielding was very poor.  Everts and Long pitched well for Harvard.     Batteries--Harvard:  Everts, Long and Sweetser.  Holy Cross:  Kehoe, Corr and Kennedy.
