President Eliot will be one of the guests of honor at the annual dinner of the East Asiatic Society at the Algonquin Club in Boston this evening. Before going to the dinner the President will go to the house of Mr. Charles S. Hamlin '83, 2 Raleigh street, where he will meet Baron Takahira, the Japanese ambassador to the United States. Baron Takahira will present him at this time with the Order of the Rising Sun, first class, which the Mikado has recently conferred upon him. The dinner will be attended by many noted men who will welcome the Japanese ambassador to Boston.
