The scrimmage for the football-squad yesterday afternoon was considerably longer than on the day before. In the two games played, no team was able to score, but there was a marked improvement in the playing. There was much less fumbling, in spite of the strong wind.
Teams A and B played the first game, in which team B was easily superior, chiefly because of the good gains by Frothingham. Team A had difficulty in providing any interference for the runner. In the second game, team C nearly scored on team D, but lost the ball on an attempted forward pass on the 5-yard line. The ball was handled cleanly by team C throughout the game.
C. D. Daly '01 was on the field again yesterday coaching the quarterbacks.  The Seniors and coaches are trying to organize a "graduate team," which will play in the practice games.  This team will probably begin practice early next week.
